IMPORTANT TIMETABLE CHANGE - PLEASE READ
To accommodate our live stream for this event only, we are having to reverse the meeting from our usual programme therefore the British Championships will run on the Saturday & the National Championships with Minibikes will run on Sunday. This has been a difficult decision to make as we realise how people make plans to accommodate the racing, but our Live streams are now starting to make significant impact with Round 3 having over 12,000 unique views, Round 4 already over 9000 and although our audience is mainly British, we are now seeing increasing numbers from around the globe, particularly where there is a domestic interest in Supermoto. This exposure can only be good for our sport as it raises the profile and allows you to generate interest and support from sponsors. Both days’ timetables are attached.
SUPERLITE DRIVERS
Saturday will be a normal race day & Sunday will be the Masters Championship which we haven’t run for a couple of years. We have scheduled all groups together on the Sunday like a normal practice day tand would allocate trophies per class, but we are open to configure it however you want. A standard practice day, handicap races with staggered start or “devil take the hindmost”? The entry cost is a standard Race Day & Practice Day cost, and we have no problem changing the format to suit the majority view if you can feed that back via Mark Rushton please.
FUTURE EVENTS
We have been invited to put on a Supermoto demonstration on the iconic full Olivers Mount road race circuit at the upcoming “Cock of the North Meeting” on 20th & 21st July and we are looking for riders who want to come along and put on a show to publicise our event in August. There will be 4 sessions in all over the Saturday & Sunday, so there will be plenty of track time and a fantastic opportunity to thunder round the historic full circuit and then enjoy a BSMC party on the Saturday evening. If you want to ride, please contact Andy Hayes direct on 07739 800425 or email andy@oliversmount.com .
Betteshanger Heritage Sprint 10 – 11 August. This amazing event at the Betteshanger Cycle Park Deal Kent is an 8th mile Sprint for mainly historic and unusual bikes. It’s a festival event with demos, bike exhibitions and live music food and bars. We have been invited to put on a demo Supermoto race. As last year riders will get the opportunity to have some runs on the 8th mile straight against sprinters and as Luca Jennings and Dean Hillier showed last year a Supermoto bike is pretty handy over this distance. There is no payment needed and if you want to turn out for some fun let us know asap.
Olivers Mount Hill Climb 17 – 18 August. There will be Supermoto & Superlite classes at the next Olivers Mount Hill Climb which takes place on To enter please use this link – This will replace the scheduled Olivers Mount Hill climb at our event on the Bank Holiday Weekend.
Supermoto Training Day 26 August. If there is enough interest we are looking to run a Supermoto training day aimed at ALL levels including off road at Oliver’s Mount on Bank Holiday Monday, hosted by 18 times British Champion Chris Hodgson this event will concentrate on all aspects of making you a faster, safer Supermoto rider both on and off Tarmac. We will also have sessions on Suspension set up & Technical explanations and practical tips on Slipper clutches. Price is yet to be fixed depending on numbers but we would hope to keep it to around the £75 - £80 for NoraSport members or weekend competitors and £15 extra for non-members/non-competitors. If this of interest please feed back asap
